As a licensed electricity aggregator, we offer clean power to Maine residents as a “matchmaker” between electricity consumers and suppliers to provide renewable electricity from non-polluting sources including wind and hydro power. We sell electric power supply offset by either wind or hydro-power as well as renewable energy certificates (RECs) sourced from wind power generated in Maine.
We also work with faith communities to raise public awareness about climate change and its causes. In this work we promote mitigation strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through energy conservation, energy efficiency measures and the use of clean, renewable power. Maine Interfaith Power & Light developed the Climate Care campaign to provide resources and support to communities of faith in developing environmental stewardship programs that will be self-sustaining and replicable.
