If you want to make sure your drinking water is free from harmful contaminants, check out this blog post and learn all about how you can test your own water at home.
Your drinking water may be contaminated. Know how to tell if your drinking water is safe to drink by following these steps:
1) Run the tap for 3 minutes before collecting a sample, this will flush out any contaminants that could have accumulated overnight in pipes and fixtures.
2) Collect a clean clear glass or plastic cup from your kitchen cabinet, fill it with cold tap water, and take a sip of the water being tested.
3) If you notice an unusual taste or smell from the sampled water, do not consume it as this could indicate contamination.
4) Use litmus paper to test whether the pH balance of the sampled water is acidic or alkaline – if it’s either one then there might be something wrong with your drinking water!
